Who are Chasing Rainbows?

Lisa and Chris Judson run Chasing Rainbows family friendly motorhome hire from their home in Shap on the edge of the English Lake District. Read more about Chasing Rainbows.

What vehicles do you hire?

Currently we are hiring Morris, a Mooveo C707 seven berth motorhome. Please get in touch if you are looking to hire another size of motorhome because we have contacts and may be able to help. Read more about Morris our motorhome.

Can I bring my pets?

Two members of our own family have severe allergic reactions to certain animals so we have decided to make Morris a pet free zone. We apologise to anyone who is disappointed but we know that no amount of hoovering will get rid of all the evidence of a pet being present. We also know that we'd have a totally miserable week ourselves if we hired a motorhome that had been hired previously to a family who brought their pet.

We can recommend a couple of excellent kennels and a cattery in the area should you wish to bring your pet this far with you and drop them off before collecting Morris.

What does it cost?

The cost of hiring a motorhome from Chasing Rainbows comprises a seasonally variable rate for the vehicle itself plus standard charges for optional extras. There is also a returnable deposit, due when you collect the vehicle. Read more about our rental charges.

What is included?

Our rates include everything you are likely to need, plus a number of free optional extras. Other items are available for an additional charge. Our bookings page has full details, or check the inventory which lists everything included when you hire a motorhome from Chasing Rainbows.

Collecting the vehicle

Where do I collect the motorhome?

You would normally collect the vehicle from us here in Shap but if that is inconvenient please contact us before you book and we will try and accommodate your plans.

What do I need to bring when I collect the vehicle?

You will need to bring two forms of ID and both parts of your driving licence. You will also need to leave a refundable deposit. Please note that the handover involves showing you how to operate the motorhome and can take 2 – 3 hours, so please allow time for that in your plans. Read more on our booking page.
